Do vegans drink fermented beverages?

Basically alcoholic beverages. Also, Do vegans have any problem with fueling cars using ethanol? If you haven't seen what I am getting at here the yeast ferments the sugars in these products and dies in the end before the product is ready. Do vegans see a problem with this?
