Niece college graduation is in Atl and I live in DC..?

Its on a sunday and I don't get off work until 11pm that friday night, the family is leaving friday afternoon, so I have to catch a train on Saturday night, that will take 13hrs, it gets me there on Sunday Morning at !0am, the graduation is at 3pm that same day, I have to leave on the last train back home at 7pm, in order to be at work monday morning at 11am,,, the whole trip will cost me $400 and I only get to see her walk across the stage then I have to go, cant spend anytime with her or family and I cant be late for work on Monday or im out of a job....would u take the trip down there just to spend 8hrs and risk your job or would you just send her a check for $300 as a gift and see her when she gets home this summer.,,Serious answers Please( Im stressed on what would be best) don't want her to hate me for not coming,, but Im not going to be happy if I go.
