What has happened to Justice in UK?

One of the killers of little Damiola Taylor, will be out of prison soon, after being given just 8 years, and only doing 4. Then the burglar who has racked up almost 700 burglaries has finally gone to prison, i am at a loss to understand what happens in Britain now, justice and fairness for victims and their families do not seem to exist. Case after case, the man who stole a Shakespeare mcript, gets 8 years, yet a man who killed a soldier got less than half that. Why is it so bad here, and why do they seem to pay more attention to the criminal like Ian Huntley and their Human Rights. Don't get it
