Did Bush ("W") get as big of a hoo-haw coming into the white house?

Did "W" get any attention from all the important ppl of the world, like Obama is? (Obama deeefffinitely deserves it - the more people I see that support him, the more I'm lovin the world) ...just wondering what all Bush had going on on his inaug. day.
