Is it weird to be young and like old songs?

Okay, so I appreciate some of the music they make today. But honestly, my favorite songs are from the early 90's and throughout the 80's. And i wasn't around when most of that music was made. I ask my friends like hey do you know Whitney Houston. There like "who's she?" like some of my favorite artist are SWV, Michael Jackson, Whitney, Cyndi Lauper, Boyz 2 Men, 2pac, some Lionel Richie songs (very few) and many others. So I like current artist like the Black Eyed Peas. But honestly SOME of the music made now is meaningless and just sounds so like someone edited there voice a billion times in the studio. Like Ke$ha the girl who sings Tik Tok....I mean its a catchy song and I sing it all the time....but shouldn't music be something more than partying,dating, drinkin, and just plain BLAH. n this doesnt only include rap......
