How does Aspirin affect the synthesis of prostaglandins?
Aspirin and other NSAIDS inhibit the cyclooxygenase (COX) 1 and 2 enzyme pathways. Those enzymes are the only means by which our body can make prostaglandins from arachidonic acid.
